OUR ARTISTS

Martha Blair

Martha is the President of the Art Center and is a lifelong artist and teacher. Martha is a portrait artist, master potter, weaver, watercolorist, acrylic painter, and charcoal and pastel artist. She has many items for sale and takes custom orders. Martha also teaches several classes at the Center including, drawing and painting, weaving and fibers, ceramics, stained glass and mosaics, and the ever-popular Paint ‘n Sip parties.

Suzie Hill

Suzie resided in Greensburg before retiring to Union City. Her knitting career began 22 years ago as a hobby and she loves it as much today as the first day she picked up her needles! Susie offers some items for sale including hats, mittens, scarves, socks, stuffed animals, and dog sweaters and takes custom orders. She also teaches knitting, and she spends many hours making items she donates to local agencies.

John Sanden

John discovered his love of art in high school and has become an expert acrylic and watercolor landscape painter. John lives in Union City, teaches at the Center, and offers prints and a few originals for sale. John is also experienced in ceramics and has thrown on the potter’s wheel for 60+ years.

Joan Quickle

In addition to being an artist, Joan is also the Treasurer and grant writer for the Center and oversees our Home School Art Program. She is a resident of Union City, and her specialty is basket weaving. Joan teaches basket weaving classes and has several items for sale at the Center.
